Flirting with Disaster
The Germans have a word for it: Schadenfreude. That pleasure you get from saying "I told you so" to somebody who has chosen not to follow your carefully considered advice.
Not that ADEC Preview's Account Director, Kathy Bruce, would ever descend to such base feelings after having to put her own personal disaster recovery strategy so recently to the test. Disasters have a way of happening and, with a little planning, there is no need for a disaster to turn into a catastrophe. Unfortunately, not everybody is that well prepared...
Spotlight on...
Mergers & Acquisitions
Our client in the automotive industry needed to capture masses of component details and drawings after an acquisition. It was able to significantly reduce the time taken to integrate the new business unit into the group by using ADEC Preview's outsourced scanning and retrieval services.
Buildings & Plant Maintenance
Kronospan Chirk, another new client, is one of the largest manufacturers of MDF and chipboard in Europe. It wanted to improve the turnaround of maintenance work on its 100 acre manufacturing plant. Essential site plans and drawings were held on paper and in some cases were several years old and in a fragile state. The drawings are now held digitally and will be available for instant access, saving hours of costly downtime.
If you recognise any of these as issues facing your business, why not give us a call on 020-8755-5700 for a no obligation assessment?
Competition Result
Don't move it, SCAN it!
It sometimes takes a site relocation or an earthquake to make us think about the alternatives to storing mountains of paperwork. In last month's competition we asked you to come up with some novel ways of bringing our scanning and archiving services to the attention of the movers and shakers of this world. Gary Ross of Birmingham-based WSP Buildings Ltd came up with the elegantly simple idea of ADEC Preview- sponsored removal crates, a suggestion that we are now following up. Congratulations Gary -- the Sony CLIE handheld computer is on its way to you!
